Supplier Return Request Management - NEW!

Modified on Mon, Jun 15, 2020 at 2:02 AM

In the Purchase Management admin menu you will find the Return Request Management links to create a new return request by supplier or view your current and completed requests, as shown below:

To create a new Return Request, click on the button labeled Create Return Request:

On the next screen, confirm the date for the request, then select the supplier from the dropdown list of suppliers just as you would do for a purchase order, and then select the Source the product(s) are located.  In most instances this will be the default source unless you have more than one. Once the Source is selected, then add a Reason if applicable.  The Reason will be noted on the return screen itself.

Please review the following notated images for the workflow:

You can then confirm and select the product(s) you'd like to return on the next screen.  This works just like the purchase order 'All Suppliers' popup grid, but will only show that suppliers products.  Please review the images below:

Once the products are added to the return, you can then click on Save.  You will then Confirm the Request and Deliver the Product(s) to record the transaction.  Once that is done, click on the Complete Request button.

You can also print a copy of the return for your records using the text link above labeled 'Print' and use that document as a packing slip, as well.

If the products on the return are Consignments from a Purchase Order that were labeled as such, the software will automatically detect the consigned products and do the following:

1) Change the Location Status of the Product(s) to: Returned Consignment

2) Change the visibility to: Catalog (so that it is not searchable on the frontend)

3) Change the Status to: Disabled

4) Add a notation in the Coins Notes for the product: "Returned to the Consignor on: [ Date ]"

Please note: All products retuned will remove the actual quantity returned on the request.
